Chapter 4:
“In the Night”

With our Festive Edit, we release the final chapter in a series of editorial commissions from the Anonymous Zine. Throughout this project, we invited artists and photographers to explore the topic of anonymity—the inspiration behind the Fall/Winter '23 Kollektion.

In Chapter 4: “In the Night,” our theme reaches its apotheosis. We collaborate once more with photographer Vitali Gelwich. Gelwich—who contributed to Chapter 1: "Say Cheese!"—closes this series while exploring the anonymity cultivated by the darkness of night.

In Chapter 4: “In the Night,” our theme reaches its apotheosis. We collaborate once more with photographer Vitali Gelwich. Gelwich—who contributed to Chapter 1: "Say Cheese!"—closes this series while exploring the anonymity cultivated by the darkness of night.
With a combination of hard flash and shadow, Gelwich creates unique perspectives and silhouettes. He reveals mere slivers of his subjects by placing seasonal colors and finishes—metallic red, chrome silver, and black velvet—in the spotlight. Set against a brutalist, concrete backdrop in an undisclosed location, this editorial is visually striking. Its stark surroundings contrast against the high-shine, glossy details of the edit.

“In the Night” plays on the mystery of life after dark. How darkness complements both anonymity and glamour. The editorial brings into focus the bold features of every distinct design, whilst semi-obscuring the main protagonist in each shot. A subversive celebration of the festive season, Chapter 4: “In the Night” is the final editorial commission of the Fall/Winter ‘23 Kollektion.
