“The Collective”

This season, we pay homage to the Aeyde community–to some of the many women who serve as inspiration for the house. Captured without artifice, “The Collective” features Lily McMenamy, Nella Ngingo, and Adina Fohlin in a series of unfiltered confessional conversations we will release across the SS24 calendar.

Lensed by photographer Walter Pierre in Nonnendamm (a small island in the middle of Berlin comprised of factories-turned-artist studios), this three-part series aims to reframe the concept of the oft-referenced muse by inviting each woman to take control of their narratives, all while profiling their inspirations, their aspirations, and their ambitions.

In Pt. 01, we speak with Lily McMenamy—the model and performance artist who believes “inspiration is the food of my soul–and I’m running on empty without it.”

In Pt. 02, we speak with Nella Ngingo—the model, photographer, and activist who recognizes “there are at least twenty [versions] of me. Now I’m on the twenty-first.”

In Pt. 03, we speak with Adina Fohlin—the model, artist, and former ballet dancer who looks within for connection. She says, “To feel the most connected to other people and things, I have to start with myself.”

“The Collective” Pt. 01 featuring Lily McMenamy is set to be released on Friday, 22.03.2024.
