‘Aeyde Markt’
Vintage and Future Vintage

Good design is timeless. Since its inception, Aeyde has drawn inspiration from art, architectural, and design movements that have stood the test of time. On Sunday 7th May, 2023, we hosted ‘Aeyde Markt’—a special pop-up event where guests could discover the exclusive selection of rare vintage and second-hand apparel featured in our latest Spring/Summer ‘23 campaign. Alongside the hand-picked garments, we exhibited select footwear and accessories from the Spring/Summer ‘23 collection to create a wardrobe embodiment of the Aeyde aesthetic.

“I am often asked how I see the Aeyde persona—what they wear to work, or how they go out at night, which brands they like and where you’d encounter them. I always hesitate to name anything trendy, but I rather think of enduring design. I think of classic pieces that I’ve loved for years. For me, the Aeyde aesthetic is timeless, with an edge, and of uncompromising quality. Styling plays such an essential role in our visual identity, but how do you do that as an accessories brand? I wanted to use the Spring/Summer ‘23 campaign and the pop-up to show who the ‘Aeyde Lady’ is head to toe.”

—Luisa Dames, Aeyde Founder and Creative Director.
The 50-piece assortment, selected from local vintage and second-hand stores, included unique leather pieces, tailored suits, muted snake prints, and more. In keeping with the design language the brand has built up through the years, the pop-up assortment reflected a balance of opposites: classic shapes and modern details, form and function, masculine and feminine.
The event took place at contemporary art gallery Peres Projects—a neighbor of the Aeyde headquarters as both share addresses on Berlin’s monumental socialist-era boulevard, Karl-Marx-Allee.

For the pop-up, we worked with a host of stellar Berlin-based talent. Peres Projects was reimagined by set designer Emilia Marguilies, who curated architectural still lifes combining naturally aged stone and metal. The DJ performance was provided by Courtesy. The Spring/Summer ‘23 campaigns were styled by Almut Vogel.
